Farming, Research and Landscape Development at Litzibuch Pilot Farm

Litzibuch, the headquarters of ELPR Ltd., is an estate aiming at contributing to an ecologically, socially and economically sustainable future of agriculture and forestry in Switzerland. Its heart is a certified organic farm cultivating a diverse traditional landscape (see farm plan). Litzibuch is just ten kilometers south-east of Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland (see map).

In spring 2000, a new team of three families leased the estate and established new priorities. The main branches of the Litzibuch project today are:

• the production of high quality organic food (site only in German)

• research, planning, and exemplarily realization in regard of an ecologically and economically sustainable development of the cultural landscape of the farm.
